“Taxi drivers are 20 times more likely to be murdered on the job than other workers, according to the U.S. Department of Labor. Last year, 27 of the 42 cabdrivers killed on the job were murder victims. The rest died in traffic crashes, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
